Profile:
Pure Bred Achal Teke stallion from the famous Telekusch line, leading back to the 1960 Olympics Gold medal dressage Horse Absinth.

They can't even tell a horse from a drink, so what do you expect?

Amazingly enough the horses come from a so far undiscovered line within the breed that seems to somehow go back to Absent. Very rare indeed, I'm sure if you ask the owners the stallions have some grand results from at least dressage klasse "S" at the famous Hippodrome in Pokrov!

I must say that in Turkmenistan I've heard some breeders talking about this Telekush line.

What it is not too clear for me is if:
- the telekush horses are related to the horses advertised in Canada
- They're all mising peers with apples
- Telekush is/was really a good stallion in Turkmenistan which I have unfortunately been able to see

I don't believe they were aware that they bought partbreds. I have e-mailed them but got no response. I have visited the stables (very nice!) and the horses are nice with good movements, but not typey. The only purebred they own, Eddy's Escapade, they are selling
(http://www.troikaequestrian.com/salehorses.asp).

Thanks to Todd's translation of the broodmare studbook I am learning to look up the mares and watching for the 0s.

Maybe Todd is going to translate the studbook X for us as well??

Are their mothers partbred then?
I know Taran belongs to the Berolina Ranch (owner fam. Rössler) and he's from the Melekush line and his father is Telekush2, see their website. http://www.achal-tekkiner.net/
I just thought they'd made a typing error.

Yes, mothers are partbreds. Elvira is producing in Czech Republic. El Gush I don■t know, but both of them have in pedigree English Thoroughbred mare Epigramma and then also Agat.

Poor guys, they must have been told a few fairytales about these horses, there is no Telekush line and the Melekush line to which the father Taran belongs does not trace back to Absent. Imagine to import such horses to find out that they can never produce for the Russian closed studbook.
They could register them in the US as Akhal-Teke Sport Horses though it sound almost better than pure breds especially as some creative owners of Akhal-Teke Sport Horses drop the last two words and simply call them Akhal-Tekes.

what is exactly an "Akhal teke sport horse"? a partbred?
