The Golden Mustang, a Russian equestrian magazine, has published a book about the Teke breed. They have been working on this project for a while and the original idea was to make the book cover all Teke countries but few breeders (including us) where interested in advertising so the book will be focused on Russian and Kazakh Teke breeding.  It looks like it will be a nice coffee table book for Teke lovers.

I have attached a few pictures from the Teke breed parade in Kentucky Horse Park. The Tekes where shown in traditional Turkmen oufits and the riders where dressed up like Turkmen djigits. A yurt was placed in the Teke stable (Todd and I went in to look for vodka but found beautiful Teke carpets), everys tall was nicely decorated Turkmen style. Several photos of Tekes where also displayed.

Todd and I have been more or less slaughtered by the new board of the Swedish Akhal-Teke association.  The part of our work that could have been considered good is know history that is not worth talking about, but what we did not so good is discussed with everyone but us.  it I can only ask newcomers to the breed in Sweden to ask us about what is being said, it is very difficult to defend yourself when you are not able to attend meetings.
